Salem Police arrested a 23-year-old Salem man for aggravated battery to a victim 60 years of age or older after he allegedly pepper-sprayed a man in the face at his home on Monday. Police report Joseph Mengarelli of North Broadway had gone to a residence in Salem Mobile Home Park looking for a person when he got into an altercation with the alleged victim. Mengarelli was gone by the time police arrived. He was located Tuesday at a Salem business and taken into custody. The alleged victim was checked on the scene by United Medical Response but did not require hospital treatment.
37-year-old Lloyd McMullin of North Everett in Odin was arrested by Salem Police on a warrant issued in a felony domestic battery case. He was taken to the Marion County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.
