A 19-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced to 78 months in federal prison for illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.
Chris Jamison was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and a $100 special assessment. He’ll be supervised by the US Probation Service for three years after getting out of prison.
Court records indicate Jamison possessed a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol while on probation in Marion County for aggravated discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle.
The case was investigated by the FBI – Springfield Division Safe Streets Task Force and assisted by the Centralia Police Department.
