2023 03/24 – Paul Michael Burr

Paul Michael Burr passed away on February 26, 2023, surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 4th, 1951 to Cecil Lavern Burr and Mary Jeanette (Hamm) Burr in Carthage, Illinois. He married Eva Lois (Heugel) Burr on November 15th, 1980.Paul is survived by his wife Eva Burr of Sandoval, children; Heather Heugel of Centralia, Cecil Buck Burr of Sandoval, and Hannah Jo and husband Joshua Tellefsen of Centralia; brothers Rod and wife Kay Burr of Lomax, IL, Samuel Burr of LaHarpe; sisters; Sharon and husband Richard Reed of Terre Haute, IL, Beth Todd of Terre Haute, IL, Rose and husband Tom Lorenzen of Salem, Iowa; sister-in-law: Bobbie Farris of Sandoval; grandchildren Jai Stevenson, Dallas Burr, Harlow Tellefsen, Meadow Tellefsen, nieces and nephews; Bill Wilmoth III, Allie VonBurg, Andy VonBurg, and several nieces and nephews from his home town.He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Myrna Saldeen, infant brother Larry LaVern Burr, brother-in-law Ralph Todd, and nephews Tim Thompson and Jamie Todd.Paul worked for the railroad starting in 1970 as a heavy equipment operator for 10 years. He became a truck driver over the road until 1990. He then started Burrs Tree Service. For 30 years, he built a very successful business. He loved Yahweh. He loved his family, especially his fur babies that joined him for every meal. If you met Paul Burr, you would not forget him. Rest in peace, Paul.Per Paul’s wishes, a celebration of life will be at Crossroads Church on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 1:00 pm.
