Two Ramsey residents were injured in a one-truck crash on Fayette County Road 1500 East late Monday afternoon.
Illinois State Police say 47-year-old James Haas was traveling eastbound on 2800 North near the intersection of 1500 East when he attempted to pass another vehicle, lost control, ran off the left side of the roadway, and overturned.
Both the driver and a passenger in the vehicle, 39-year-old Amanda Haas of Ramsey, were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Haas was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, failure to wear a seatbelt, and possession of open alcohol by a driver.
The crash occurred at 5:15 Monday afternoon.
