The Marion County Farm Bureau will be able to bring their free Ag Day Breakfast back inside this year following a drive through event last year.

The Marion County Farm Bureau is hosting its Annual Ag Day Breakfast to celebrate the affordability of food in America on Tuesday morning.

Farm Bureau Manager Brad Conant says once again this year the breakfast is being offered free to everyone in the community.

“We are going to be serving breakfast from 6-9 a.m.  We are bringing back the in-person dining option this year.  So you have the option to come to the building and sit down and join us for breakfast.  If they want to do carry-outs we are going to allow that this year too.  So if people need to grab their breakfast and get off to work, they certainly will have that option as well.”

Conant says while there is no charge, donations will be accepted to support the Farm Bureau’s scholarship and Agriculture in the Classroom programs.

The purpose of the breakfast is to demonstrate the value of food in America and the role that agriculture plays in providing it. Conant says not only is America’s food supply the world’s safest, but it’s also the most affordable.

Compared to food, Americans work longer each year to pay for their housing, federal taxes, and medical care.
