Two charged following execution of search warrant on their home

Two Centralia residents have been formally charged in Marion County Court with felony drug offenses following execution of a search warrant on their home.

50-year-old John Willis and 32-year-old Samantha Horton of the 500 block of North Poplar were first arrested after allegedly being found in possession of drugs during a traffic stop. Centralia Police Lieutenant Steve Whritenour says the patrol and investigation division did a commendable job of then obtaining a search warrant for the home of the two were five more grams of meth and 130 grams of fentanyl, along with digital scales were allegedly found.

Willis had bond set at $50,000 after being charged with possession of between five and 15 grams of methamphetamine, possession of less than 15 grams of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Horton had bond set at $25,000 after being charged with possession of five to 15 grams of meth.

Both Willis and Horton had the public defender appointed to represent them.
