The Alma Village Board has called a Town Hall meeting for Thursday evening to discuss a Federal Rural Development Study on how much village residents should be paying for water and sewer service.
Mayor Russell Swift says the village board will be learning at the same time residents do on the recommendations. Two Rural Development officials will be on hand to present the study and answer questions.
Swift notes the village has not had a water rate increase since 2005 and the fund lost money last year.
The Town Hall meeting begins at 6:30 at Alma Village Hall. All residents are welcome.
