Salem Police say one person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on West Main at Westgate Avenue late Thursday morning.
Police report an eastbound pickup truck on West Main driven by 55-year-old Charla Burns of Snapshot Road in Woodlawn ran into a vehicle stopped at the stoplight on Westgate Avenue in front of her driven by 40-year-old April Bunton of Kirby Road in Iuka. Burns told police she was distracted at the time by her cell phone.
Both drivers escaped injury, but a passenger in the Bunton pickup, 43-year-old Charles Bunton of Kirby Road in Iuka, was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The crash occurred at 10:35 Thursday morning.
