The Centralia Grade School Board has approved the purchase of new uniforms for the Junior High School band. The uniforms will cost $48,039.
The board set eighth-grade graduation for Tuesday, May 17th at six pm. The board also adopted the school calendar for the coming school year, with the first day of class for students on August 18th.
In other action, the board approved Glass and Shuffett, LTD to perform the annual audit.
In personnel action, the board approved a three-year contract extension with Dean of Students Wendy Jourdan. The board also approved the hiring of Alexis Knox as Speech-Language Pathologist for the coming school year, Martha Gray as an Individual Paraprofessional at Schiller School, Heather Wehking as a mental health support assistant at Jordan School and Jill Williams at Schiller School, and Lucas Krutsinger as boys Eighth Grade Track Coach for the current school year.
Resignations were accepted for Fourth Grade Teacher Michael Honerkamp and Speech Pathologist Jamie Winters at the end of the current school year.
