Flora man charged with Class X Drug-Induced Homicide

A 52-year-old Flora man has been arrested for a Class X felony of Drug-Induced Homicide.

Phillip Blaine Henson is charged in connection with the November 17th, death of 54-year-old Stephanie Harrell of Flora.  Bond has been set at $1-million in Clay County Court.

Harrell was found dead in her vehicle parked in an agricultural field entrance on Olive Street, just north of US 50 in Flora.

Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 8 had been earlier requested to conduct a death investigation.

Henson is currently being detained at the Vanderburgh County Jail in Evansville, Indiana.

DCI was assisted by the South Eastern Illinois Drug Task Force, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Flora Police Department, Clay County Coroner’s Office, and ISP Crime Scene Services.
