The Salem City Council Monday night will be asked to award a number of bids.

The bid from ATV’s and More is being recommended for a replacement 60 inch zero-turn mower for the cemetery. City Manager Rex Barbee says their bid of $11,157 was just $3.24 above the lowest bid meeting minimum specifications submitted by Ramsour Farm Supply in Centralia. He’s recommending the council approve the slightly higher bid from ATV’s and More because it is a Salem Business.

The council will also look at various bids for chemicals at the water treatment plant and for rock and sand for general maintenance in the coming fiscal year that starts May 1st.

The meeting gets underway at six Monday night at Salem City Hall.
