UNDATED (AP) — Fourth-ranked Duke held a party for outgoing basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski (shuh-SHEHF’-skee), but North Carolina spit into the punch bowl.

The Tar Heels torched the Blue Devils for 55 points in the second half to earn a 94-81 victory at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Four Tar Heels scored at least 20 points, led by Armando Bacot’s (BAY’-kahts) 23. Caleb Love had 22 points, RJ Davis 21, and Brady Manek 20 with 11 rebounds.

It was the final home game for Krzyzewski, who has 1,196 career victories and five NCAA championships.

More than 90 former players were in attendance, including Grant Hill, Shane Battier (BAT’-ee-ay), J.J. Redick, Jay Williams, Danny Ferry, and Christian Laettner.

After returning for the final pregame minutes, Krzyzewski appeared to be fighting back tears during the national anthem and dabbing his eyes with a tissue during the final huddle before tipoff.
