Gary Wayne Ely, age 63, was born January 10, 1960, in Granite City, IL, and passed away February 20, 2023, in Nashville, TN. He formerly lived in the Marion County area.
Gary worked as a laborer and mechanic all his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorothy Ely; his siblings, David Ely, and Alice Ketchum.
He is survived by his children, Jammie Melton (Christopher), Brian Ely, and Justin Ely; grandchildren, Tiffany Foutch, Jacob Foutch, Brooklyn Garcia-Ely, Lily Ely, Madison Ely, and Jordan Ely; siblings, Paulette Cheetum, Carol Burlingame, Diane McPheeters, Millie Cathey, and Nancy Seisser.
Gary loved his children and his family and will be dearly missed.
His family has elected to have a private cremation with no services at this time.
