Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 26-year-old Matthew Woods of North Maple in Centralia on an outstanding failure to appear in court warrant for unlawful possession of a credit card. Bond is set at $75,000.
Wamac Police arrested 30-year-old Cheyanne Linkon of West 17th in Centralia on a failure to appear warrant for aggravated fleeing police. Bond is set at $20,000. Salem Firemen were called out twice on Thursday.
Firemen report a grass fire on the Gary Jenkins property in the 4700 block of England Road covered about an acre and did not threaten any buildings. For the second night in a row, firemen on Wednesday night were called to the Holiday Inn Express. Two room fire alarms were sounding, but no problem was found.
