Janet Sue Allen, age 76 of Salem, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Helia Healthcare in Salem.
Janet was born on December 11, 1946, in Kinmundy the daughter of Kenneth and Ada (Butts) Pickel.
Survivors include her three children, Loyd Allen of Salem, Tammy Allen of Salem, and Greg Allen and wife Stacy of Salem; two siblings, David Pickel and wife Patty of Salem, and Donna Halterman of Farina; grandchildren, Cody McWhirter and wife Misty, Ashley Sills and husband Shawn, Tuley Finley, Brittney Finley, Taylor Allen, Kaitlyn Allen, Samantha Rozkiewicz and husband Rollie, and Kayla Salinas and husband Boni; several great-grandchildren; and beloved nieces, Jennifer McClain and husband Jeff, Beth Ann Horst, Brittany Horst, and Andrea Halterman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Gary, Sheila, and Sharon.
Janet was of the Christian Faith. She worked many years for Wal-Mart and then retired from Ligma/Innertech in Nashville. She was devoted to her family and deeply loved her children and grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Janet Allen will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Claude Howell officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to New Life Church and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home.
