FORSYTH, Ill. (AP) — Authorities say a woman who was attacked at a group home in central Illinois has died. Macon County authorities say 58-year-old Lynn Umphryes died Feb. 16 after an attack on her and two others a month earlier. She suffered blunt force trauma to her head and died from her injuries.
An autopsy report is still being processed.
A 40-year-old man with a history of mental health problems was been arrested and charged with attempted murder in the attack.
During a court heart in earlier February, the court accepted a mental health evaluation that said he was unfit to stand trial. He is due back in court on March 2 to be reevaluated.
