Salem Police say one person was injured in a two vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon at Boone and Shelby Streets.

Police report 39-year-old Heidi Loyd of East Seneff Street in Salem was traveling westbound on Boone Street when she failed to yield when making a left turn onto North Shelby and struck a northbound pickup on North Shelby driven by 51-year-old Larry Woodward of Cottonwood Village in Salem.

Both drivers escaped injury, but police say a 16-year-old female passenger from Salem in the Loyd car was taken by ambulance to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.

Loyd was ticketed for failure to yield at an intersection and no insurance.

The crash occurred at 3:25 Wednesday afternoon.
