One person was injured in a two vehicle crash on the south side of Salem early Monday night.
Salem Police say the crash occurred at South Broadway and West Kell Street. Reports indicate a southbound car on South Broadway driven by 37-year-old Allyson Moisan of South Washington in Salem ran into an SUV stopped in front of her waiting to make a left turn on Kell Street driven by 24-year-old Morea Buhs of Urbana.
Buhs was not injured. Moisan was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment. Moisan was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The Salem Fire Protection District was also called to the scene, but no extrication was necessary.
The crash occurred at 5:53 Monday evening.
