Kenneth B. Jones, 85, of Centralia passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Fireside House in Centralia.

He was born on August 16, 1937, the son of Kenneth L. and Beulah M. (Rosenbaum) Jones in Centralia. He married the love of his life, Shirley Sue Bone on June 8, 1957, at the Jefferson County Courthouse and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include his beloved family, children Kenneth R. (Lisa A.) Jones of Walnut Hill, John D. Jones (Kay Donoho) of Junction City, and Kim Cruzen (Chris Russell) of Walnut Hill and his late grandson Kirk Cruzen; grandchildren Jenny Voss, John D. Jones, Tasha Meyer, Adam Hughes, Kelsey Jones, Meagan Jones, Zach Jones, and Bryson Jones; numerous great-grandchildren.

Along with his wife, Shirley Jones, Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law David L. Cruzen; and his grandson Kirk Cruzen.

Kenneth was a hard-working, family provider who was a loyal employee of Hollywood Candy Factory which later became Leaf, for a total of 40 years. His ambitious nature helped him work his way up in the factory from his start on the candy line. Kenneth will forever be grateful for his time at the factory where he learned the value of a good day of work and met his wife Shirley. He enjoyed watching old movies and was especially fond of Gunsmoke. Kenneth was an animal lover and even had a pet raccoon. He was a man who liked to keep busy, and even during his downtime found him working. Kenneth made beautiful woodworking pieces for grateful family and friends. He liked to go coon hunting and watch the dogs tree a coon. Kenneth had an appreciation for guns, reloading and making his own bullets. He liked to ride motorcycles and appreciated the views he saw from his Triumph motorcycle. Kenneth will be remembered as a man of integrity who loved his family deeply.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2023, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating.
