The Centralia Police Department has named Patrolman Travis Ripperda as their officer of the year.
Police Chief Greg Dodson says Ripperda was the unanimous choice of his peers for the award.
The Chief says Ripperda hit the ground running and has become the department’s most proactive officer after joining the force in January of 2020. Dodson called him a great asset to the department and community.
The lead Communications Officer and Records Supervisor Stacey Jolliff was presented a Humanitarian Award for all the administrative and behind-the-scenes work she does to make the Shop with a Cop program a success each year. Dodson says while he and others in the department get to shop with the kids each year, it’s Jolliff’s coordination with the fundraising golf tournament and mailer as well as with the parents and schools that make it all possible.
The awards were presented at the Department’s Christmas Party Thursday night.
