Jerline Whited, 32, of Taylorville, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Jerline was born December 19, 1989, in Decatur, the daughter of Robert Denbow and Cola (Carroll) Baker.

Jerline is survived by both her parents: Robert Denbow of Shelbyville and Cola Baker of Vandalia; three brothers: Marcus Carroll of Vandalia, Johnny Baker of Vandalia, and Aaron Baker of Mattoon; one sister: Betty Higgins of Greenville; one half-sister: Kimberley Westenhaver of Finley; twenty-one nieces and nephews: Isaac Farnsworth, Dominic Carroll, Kaydence Carroll, Lily Milligan, Kylie Baker, Axten Higgins, Eliott Milligan, Levi Baker, Johnny Owen Baker, Myles Baker, Emma Haynes, Abriella Higgins, Kiercyn Higgins, Kree Higgins, Alexander White, Amelia Baker, Meredith Baker, Justin Westenhaver, Jacob Westenhaver, Blake Westenhaver, and Zachary Westenhaver; and several uncles and aunts.

She was preceded in death by her father figure Johnny Baker, maternal grandparents: W. Lloyd Carroll and Geraldine Forbes, and paternal grandparents: Robert and Eva Debow.

Jerline was a member of the Crossroad Pentecostal Church in Taylorville and affiliated with the Calvary Pentecostal Church of Farina. She had a strong interest in Native American Culture. She took an interest in any involvement of Neurofibromatosis as she had this condition her whole life. She was big on family and was looking forward to meeting her new nephew. She loved family gatherings. She was a sweet individual and was always smiling. She will be dearly missed by those that knew her.

The memorial service for Jerline Whited will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the First United Pentecostal Church in Farina. Pastor Sam Hester will be officiating.
