Bond has been set at $50,000 for a 32-year-old Centralia man who was formally charged in Marion County Court Monday in connection with allegedly firing a gunshot in his home and threatening to kill his wife.
Broderick Currie of South Hickory was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon with a previous condition and aggravated assault for allegedly
pointing a gun and threatening to kill his wife. Conviction on the possession of a weapon by a felon charge carries a mandatory prison term of 7 to 14 years upon conviction.
If released on bond, Currie was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim. The public defender was appointed to represent him. A preliminary hearing is set for December 28th.
