Barbara “Darlene” Oulrey, 81 of Salem, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Twin Willows Nursing Center in Salem.

Darlene was born on June 28, 1940, in Iuka, Illinois the daughter of Harold and Bessie (Clark) Littrell.  She married B. J. “Buck” Oulrey on December 25, 1960, at the Woodlawn Church in Iuka and he survives in Salem.

Survivors include her husband, Buck; son, Garry Oulrey and wife Suetta of Salem; daughter, Peggy Jones and husband Mike of Walnut Hill; grandchildren, Tyson Moore and wife Tierney of Nashville, Kody Moore and wife Courtney of Nashville, Tabitha Oulrey of Salem, Amanda Guerrettaz and husband Jason of Salem, and Mathew Haas and wife Kelly of Salem; great-grandchildren, C.J., Issac, Owen, Lukas, Chase, Carter, Mabry, Huck, Cordi, and Rowan; siblings, Beverly Phelps and husband Lowell of Salem, Ronnie Littrell and wife Kathryn of Salem, Kathy Littrell of Salem, and Melody Anderson and husband Perry of Bellevile; and a brother-in-law, Sam Oulrey of FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Terry Oulrey and a daughter-in-law, Jean Oulrey.

Darlene worked as a bookkeeper for Leymone Hardcastle for over 46 years.  She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Ladies of the Nile.

Funeral services for Darlene Oulrey will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Claude Howell officiating.  Burial will follow at the East Lawn Cemetery.  There will be a visitation on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Louis Shriners Children’s Hospital or the donor’s choice and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.
