Brenda K. Karrick, 67, of Salem, Illinois passed away December 2, 2022 at Salem Township Hospital.sutherlandfuneralhome.com
She was born September 8, 1955 in Salem, the daughter of Charles “Charley” and Genoa Brown. Ms. Karrick chose simple cremation. There will be no public service. Burial will be private. Brenda worked for several years in housekeeping at the Quality Inn and Suites. Previously she had worked for Brown Shoe Company in Salem. She loved her family, and playing BINGO at the Salem Community Center with her sister. She married Sammy L. Karrick, April 6, 1973 in Salem and he preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, William Karrick and James Karrick both of Alma, Terry Wimberly of Salem, Matthew Karrick of Indiana, Alica Stroup, Elizabeth Karrick and Amanda Karrick all of Salem; siblings Dicky Brown of Kentucky, Elmer Brown of St. Louis, MO, and Mary Phillips of Salem, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice and will be received by the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, P. O. Box 97, 310 N.
