The Marion County Health Department is reporting 53 new cases of COVID-19 from Saturday through Wednesday.
The health department reports there were no deaths during the five-day period.
There are now 153 active cases, including ten in the hospital. The department reports those in the hospital range from one teen, one in their 20s, one in their 40s, three in their 50s, two in their 60s, and one apiece in their 70s and 80s.
Of the 53 new cases, ten were fully vaccinated. 15 are of school age and none were long-term care residents. 41 of the cases are considered community spread and 12 are the result of household or close contacts.
Jefferson County is reporting 12 new cases on Wednesday and 48 currently in isolation.
Washington County is reporting 32 new cases from November 16th through the 22nd.
Statewide, 21,034 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported since last Friday along with 87 additional deaths. The Illinois Department of Public Health reports 61-percent of state residents are fully vaccinated and 67-percent have had at least one vaccination.
