Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation has identified a woman found dead in an agricultural field entrance north of Flora as 54-year-old Stephanie Harrell of Flora.
The official cause of death and manner of death remain undetermined at this time and will be released by the Clay County Coroner’s Office once a final autopsy and toxicology report is completed.
The body was found by Clay County Sheriff Andy Meyer as he investigated the parked vehicle in an agricultural field entrance on Olive Street approximately 3/4th of a mile north of US Highway 50.
The State Police DCI unit has been assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, Flora Police, Clay County Coroner’s Office, and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services.
