Bond was set at $100,000 in Marion County Court Friday for a 25-year-old Salem man charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault.

Joshua Roedl of South Lincoln was arrested by Salem Police on Wednesday following an investigation of incidents involving a four-year-old girl.   The case was brought to the police by DCFS.

The court charges filed Friday accuse Roedl of committing two sexual acts against the girl between October of last year and October fifth of this year.  Both charges are class X felonies with a sentencing range of six to 60 years imprisonment.

The public defender was appointed to represent Roedl and he was ordered to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18 if he is released on bond.
