Several area residents will receive 2021 awards from The Kaskaskia Region of the Illinois Principals Association that includes Bond, Clinton, Fayette, Macoupin, Marion and Montgomery Counties.
Tyler Lux, the Principal at Franklin Park Middle School in Salem, was named the region’s Middle School Principal of the Year, Betty Purcell will receive the Friend of Education award and Connie Graham the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Awards will be received on December 9th at the Education Banquet. This year they will also recognize 2020 winners as well. That included Salem Police Chief Sean Reynolds receiving the Reaching out and Building Bridges award as well as Melanie Becker as NASSP Assistant Principal of the Year.
