A 44-year-old Vernon man has been arrested for aggravated robbery and aggravated battery following an incident that occurred outside a home in the 1400 block of South Maple in Centralia last Friday morning.

Centralia Police say Seth Lambert of Burks Road is accused of approaching a 38-year-old Central City man who exited the home and demanded he empty his pockets or have his life taken.   The alleged victim emptied his pockets and Lambert allegedly took $200.  Lambert then allegedly hit the victim multiple times with his hands before running on foot with another man.   A witness reportedly provided police with the name of the two men.

Lambert was located Monday night when an officer initially went to investigate a domestic dispute in the Centralia Motel parking lot across from the police station.   Lambert was allegedly found hiding in the bathroom of a room occupied by those involved in the dispute.  Lambert allegedly gave police a false name before he was identified by one of the others present as Lambert.

In addition to the aggravated robbery and aggravated battery charges, Lambert was also arrested for obstructing justice for giving a false name and on an outstanding Marion County warrant for failure to appear on a dangerous drugs charge.   The bond on the warrant is set at $10,000.
