She was a member of First Baptist Church in Centralia, where she would assist with Funeral Luncheons. Sue also was a member of the Centralia V.F.W. Auxiliary and AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary.  If anyone would visit Hillcrest Memorial Park around Memorial Day, they would find Sue and Bud honoring Veterans by placing a flag on their grave and also looking for the placement of the flags in the Garden of Honor. Sue and Bud volunteered hours upon hours of their time for Hillcrest Memorial Park and Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home by making thousands of ornaments for the families of those who had lost their loved ones.

Sue was a very caring and loving lady. No matter what, she would always try and help anyone. She loved her family and she cherished the time she spent with each and every one.
