A 25-year-old Hoyleton man was airlifted from the scene of a two-vehicle crash on southbound I-57 near the Farina exit Friday morning.
State Police say preliminary investigative details indicate an SUV driven by Jacob Wacker hit the rear of a semi stopped in the same lane due to another crash. Police say 46-year-old Michael Wilson of Plant City, Florida, refused medical treatment.
Wacker was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
The wreck occurred at 7:23 Friday morning.
