Victoria Ann Gaines, age 86 of Salem, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
Ann was born on February 19, 1936, in Dickinson, Alabama the daughter of Carl and Eleanor (Lindsey) Carlson. She married David Gaines on March 24, 1956, in Lansing, Michigan and he survives in Salem.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Doug Gaines and wife Lori of Worden, IL, Elizabeth Bruggen and husband Karl of West Chester, OH, and Rebecca Jackson and husband Daniel of Brentwood, TN; thirteen grandchildren, Courtney, Erica, Matthew, Keegan, Kaylee, Connor, Eric, Joel, Seth, Ryan, Evan, Anna, and Will; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Kirk Gaines and Matthew Gaines.
Ann was of the Christian Faith. She was a dedicated farmer’s wife and loving mother. She enjoyed being a homemaker and liked to sew, quilt, and birdwatch.
Visitation for Ann Gaines will be held on November 12, 2022, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem from 10:00 am until Noon with a short memorial service following.
