Gregory Ratajczyk, 71, of Scheller, Illinois, passed away at 6:54 pm November 5, 2022, at his residence. He was born February 16, 1951, in Scheller, Illinois to the late Edward and Tereasa (Marshalek) Ratajczyk. Gregory married Cathy (Knapp) Ratajczyk on October 16, 1971. She preceded him in death in 1993.
Gregory is survived by his son, Jeremy Ratajczyk; grandchildren, Maressa and Adrian Ratajczyk; great-grandchild, Avrie Ratajczyk; sisters, Ilene Knapp, Betty Decker; and brother, Lawrence (Berniece) Frost.
In addition to his parents and wife, Gregory was preceded in death by his daughter, Staphanie Ratajczyk, and sister, Anna Marie Byrd.
Gregory worked at G.S. Metals in Pinckneyville for thirty-seven years.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Scheller, Illinois with Father Benny George officiating. Interment will follow at St. Barbara Cemetery in Scheller, Illinois.
