Salem Firemen say pole barn shed and fence damaged in Monday night fire

Salem Firemen say a fire in a burn barrel that spread out of the barrel damaged a shed and fence on the Brittany Chalkus property at 3350 Red Stripe Road in rural Salem.

Firemen say they were able to stop the fire in the shed after just the bottom boards had been burned. The fence also received just minor damage.

The fire call came in at 3:04 Monday afternoon.
