After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kaskaskia College is pleased to announce that it will once again host its Enduring Freedom Veterans Day Remembrance Celebration on Wednesday, November 10, on the college’s main campus. Kaskaskia College is proud to honor the service of those men and women who have given their time and energy to the benefit of our country.
The morning will feature a free biscuit and gravy breakfast in the college’s student center from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for veterans and their guests.
A special program will be held in the Jane Knight Auditorium starting at 9:45 a.m. for students and the public. This year’s guest speaker will be Colonel Brian M. Alexander, Special Agent with the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) and Commander of OSI Third Field Investigations Region at Scott Air Force Base.
The morning will also feature the presentation of colors and a performance of military service songs by the KC Blues, under the direction of Lynda Marshall, Assistant Professor of Choral Music.
The program is free and open to the public.
