Edward George Walker, 79, of Centralia IL., passed away in his sleep at his home on November 6, 2022.Edward was born December 31, 1942, in San Francisco, California, the son of Delilah Mary Jane George and Marion Edward Walker. He married Sandra Kay Walton on September 23, 1967, during the 52 years of marriage they welcomed three children.Gregarious and friendly Ed never knew a stranger. When he was a child, he had a paper route that he would use to help his mother pay bills. Ed was a secret woodworker and an undercover handyman. Ed and Sandy would spend many evenings competing in bowling tournaments. He wasn’t too jealous when his wife would be the victor on more than one occasion.Ed was a veteran of the Air Force. During his service, he was stationed at an Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan.Ed worked as a Sheet metal Foreman for over 40 years for the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 268 and companies of Fowler, Bertolino, Icon and Jen Mechanical.Edward Walker is survived by his daughters: Toni Walker and Andi Bundy, son Aaron Walker (Jamie Lynn), 6 very loved grandchildren: Jackson Walker, Blake Bundy, Kaia Bundy, Joe Walker, Kali Bundy, and Abram Walker, sisters: Judith Ann Walker Parkinson, and Mary Jane Dodd (Fred).He is proceeded in death by his wife Sandra Kay Walker, son Mark Edward Walker, mother Delilah Mary Jane Spade and his father Marion Edward Walker.Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private family service will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.
