An early Monday morning fire destroyed a vacant mobile home at 522 South Maple in Centralia.
Centralia City Firemen say the home was fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival. A neighbor had seen the flames and called the fire department.
Fire officials say while the fire is still under investigation, it appears to have started on the outside of the mobile home and then spread to the home itself. The fire first entered the living and laundry room area and then spread.
The home is owned by Matthew J. Woods.
The fire call came in at 1:06 Monday morning. All available off-duty Centralia City Firemen were called in to help fight the fire. Firemen remained on the scene until 2:50 Monday morning.
