Connie S. Dodson, 81, of Hoffman passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on July 27, 1941, the daughter of William and Wanda (Greer) Dillsworth in Norris City. She married Donald Dodson on July 6, 1971, in Norris City and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2002.

Survivors include her beloved family, children Robyn Breeze and husband Wes of Centralia, Doug Dodson and wife Tina of Centralia, Debi Nattier and husband Ray of Patoka, and Dawn Reid and husband Bill of Patoka; and her sister Randa West and husband Jim of Norris City. Connie will be remembered as a devoted Meemo to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband of 30 years, Donald Dodson, Connie was preceded in death by her father William Dillsworth; and her mother Wanda Dillsworth.

Connie was a loyal employee of GTE Phone Company. She was an avid traveler and so very grateful to have had the opportunity to visit every mainland US state, except North Dakota. Connie appreciated the stunning beauty of Ireland and loved to share her stories about her favorite destination. She had an amazing, creative ability when it came to quilting, enjoying her time spent making quilts to pass along to her family. Connie put her green thumb to good use while nurturing and growing colorful flower gardens, benefitting from the therapy of time spent in nature. Connie treasured time making memories with her family and her life reflected an example of kindness, generosity, and gentleness that will continue in those she knew and loved.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman with Pastor Brett Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in rural Sandoval.
