Third person arrested for rural Iuka farmstead building

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department has made a third arrest in connection with a burglary to a farmstead in the 7900 block of Brubaker Road in rural Iuka.

28-year-old Slade Thompson of Rogers Street in Salem was taken into custody by sheriff’s deputies Wednesday night.

Two others currently have charges pending against them in the same case. 20-year-old Katlin Hollinshead of East 5th in Kinmundy faces two burglary counts in connection with the building being entered twice in September and 22-year-old Kelby Firnhaber of Markland Street in Salem is charged with entering or being accountable for one of the September burglaries.

The sheriff’s department reports the investigation is continuing.
