Centralia Police arrested two persons early Tuesday morning when coming into contact with them during a foot patrol at the Fairview Shopping Center.
Police say 36-year-old Marshall Garrison Junior of North Boyd Lane in Dix was questioned why he was walking in the shopping center parking lot at four am. After a consent to search, he was allegedly found in possession of a baggie of what field-tested as methamphetamine. Garrison was arrested and taken to the Clinton County Jail at Carlyle for possession of under five grams of methamphetamine.
Another officer found 33-year-old Estrella Ramos of Divernon walking in the area behind the shopping center stores when calling to assist on the initial call. Ramos was found to be wanted on a Fayette County failure to appear warrant for driving on a suspended license. At the direction of Fayette County, she was given a notice to appear in court.
The foot patrols followed the weekend burglary at the T-Mobile store in the shopping center.
