Police Beat for Friday, October 15th, 2021

A 30-year-old Centralia woman has been arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and theft of a motor vehicle. Central City Police say Dianca Meeks of Leafland Drive had been allowed to stay at a home in Central City where one of the residents had earlier purchased her car. Meeks reportedly put her old license plates on the car and took the car without permission. She was arrested by Centralia Police when she stopped an officer for a well-being check.

35-year-old Rosa Bounds of South Washington in Salem was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding felony failure to appear warrant on a pending possession of under five grams of methamphetamine. She was taken to the Marion County Jail where she is being held in lieu of $10,00 bond.

22-year-old Tabitha Street of West 17th in Wamac was arrested by Wamac Police on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant. She posted $750 bond and was released from the Marion County Jail. 39-year-old Justin Collins of North Main In Sandoval turned himself in on a Marion County failure to appear traffic warrant. He posted $250 bond and was released.

57-year-old Tommy Storey of East McMackin in Salem posted $300 bond and was released after being arrested by sheriff’s deputies for driving under the influence and driving on a revoked or suspended license plate.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department received a report of two tires on a truck being flattened by arrows while parked at a home in the 1200 block of Van Buren Street in Junction City sometime early Thursday morning.
