Donna Kay Gibson, 68, of Salem, Illinois passed away on September 30, 2022, at her home.Born August 25, 1954, in Salem, she was the daughter of James “Leslie” and Neva J. (Jackson) Squibb. Her parents preceded her in death.A Celebration of Life service will take place at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 9, 2022, in the chapel of Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 97, 310 N. Broadway, Salem, IL 62881 (618) 548-1234. Burial will follow at the East Lawn Cemetery in Salem with Pastor Calvin Jean officiating. Memorials may be made to The Apostolic Church of Salem and will be accepted by the funeral home. Visiting hours will be from 1:00 pm until the service hour at the funeral home.Donna was a faithful member of her church, loved flower gardening, and was gifted at painting. She was a physical therapist for twenty-plus years. She was a devoted fan of the St. LouisCardinals.She married Harry “Ray” Gibson on October 25, 1970, in Salem and he preceded her in death on October 9, 2019.Surviving are her children Brad Gibson, Paul Bragg, Leslie Wood and Rachel Sloane all of Salem along with 9 grandchildren. Also left to mourn her passing are sisters Carolyn Lively of TN, Betty (Elmer) Rogers of Iuka, IL, and Mary (Mike) Thomas of Salem.
