Salem Police say a 34-year-old Salem man arrested for burglary on Tuesday was in connection with a weekend break in to two or three buildings at County Materials on the south side of Salem.
Police Detectives say Demon DeBoer of South Jefferson was allegedly seen on video surveillance. That led police to seek a search warrant on his home. Police say they recovered some tools with County Materials markings that were among the property missing from the business. A golf cart was also stolen but has not been recovered.
DeBoer was arrested later in the day on a traffic stop when returning to his home.
A charge of criminal damage to property was added by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies after he damaged a table in an interview room of the jail.
