The Salem 7th/8th grade Salem soccer team remained undefeated on Sunday with a 14-0 win over Breese. Goals were scored by Caleb Purintun (5), Austin Woolridge (4), Jordan Kessler (2), Elara Brubaker, Holden Richardson, and Kyle Keys.
The 1st/2nd-grade team traveled to Damiansville for two games on Sunday. They played well and had some good chances during their games.
The 3rd/4th Girls team also traveled to Damiansville. Their first game was against New Baden who went up 2-0 in the first half. Salem came back with three goals by Gianna Lowder, Sophia Decker and with one minute to go in the game, a goal by Braelyn Holzhausen. Gabby Gaston and Lowder were in net. In the second game, Salem tied with Albers 3-3 after being down 3-0. Two goals were scored by Holzhausen and Alyx Pearce added another. Lowder and Gaston were keepers.
