The SC Cougars played a road game at Altamont to tune up for Monday’s National Trail Conference Tournament opener with the Cougars falling 17-7 in six innings. Altamont plated 9 runs in the sixth inning to pull off the win. SC was led at the plate by Ethan Dunn who doubled and drove in 3 runs. Andrew Magnus and Aidan Dodson also drove in runs. Ethan Watwood allowed 11 hits and 8 runs in 4.2 innings of work. The Cougars made a couple big errors in the sixth that cost them with 5 unearned runs scoring in the game. These two teams will play each other again on Monday in Kinmundy in the quarterfinal of the Conference Tournament.
