Madison Paige Cameron, 23, of Bluford, Illinois, passed away at 3:43 pm on September 27, 2022, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born February 23, 1999, in Centralia, Illinois to Travis and Teresa (Harvey) Cameron.

In addition to her parents, Madison is survived by her sisters, Brittany Sanders and husband, Stuart of Centralia, Illinois, Kelsey Cameron and fiancé, Devin Wilkes of Salem, Illinois, Alexis Cameron of Bluford, Illinois; nieces, Tatum and Raegan Sanders; grandmothers, Mildred Harvey of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Nellie Cameron of Bluford, Illinois; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and beloved dog, Jack.

Madison was preceded in death by grandfathers, Viven Harvey and Paul Cameron.

Madison graduated from Webber Township High School in 2017. She had a heart of gold. Madison would always light up any room she entered with her smile from ear to ear. She was always willing to help anyone no matter the circumstance. She has never met a stranger, she was always ready to make new friends. Madison loved playing outside with her dog, Jack, and taking him through the Starbucks drive-thru. She loved all kinds of animals and would bring home any in need. Madison loved spending time with her cousins and playing outside. Madison really loved her family and spending time with her sisters, from playing barbies as kids, and swimming in the pool, to helping her sisters plan their weddings. She will be greatly missed by her family and all of those who crossed her path.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Brian Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Madison’s honor to Central Christian Church.
