By Bruce Kropp Oct 2, 2021 | 4:28 PM

On Tuesday, September 26, 2022, Mrs. Betty Lou Woodward moved to her Heavenly home.  Betty was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.

Betty was born on April 1, 1937, in Iuka, the daughter of Ted and Florence (Gordon) Thomas.  She married Ronald “Woody” Woodward on September 3, 1955, and he survives in Iuka.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Terry Lee Hilton and husband Richard of Iuka; grandchildren, April Hilton of Henderson, KY, and her sons, Kaleb, Kendall, and Kam’Ron Hilton, Andrew Hilton of Iuka, and Amanda Weems and husband Matthew of Iuka and their children, Hosea and Hope Weems; and two step-brothers, David Ryan and Bobby Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, step-father, Robert Ryan, brother, Charlie Thomas, and sister, Vickie Thomas.

Miss Betty loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus will all her heart, and she loved God’s Word.  She shared her love of Jesus every day, in every way.  She was a member of Iuka General Baptist Church.  Though she was a humble, gentle woman, Betty was nonetheless a powerful prayer warrior, and only Heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful prayer, ministry, and service have had on her family, her friends, her community, and the world at large.  She owned Rynwood Flowers and Greenhouse in Iuka for many years and later went on to work as the office administrator for H&W Lumber.

Funeral services for Betty Lou Woodward will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the Iuka General Baptist Church in Iuka with Tracy Bennet and Ray Barnes officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until the time of the service at the church.  The burial will be in Iuka Cemetery.  Memorials can be made to the Student Ministries of Iuka General Baptist Church and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem which is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com
