SSM Health has announced it will implement a new minimum wage of $15.00 per hour throughout its four-state system effective October 10th.
The President and CEO of SSM Health Laura Kaiser says their mission and values call them to care for the health and well-being of all those they serve. She notes as a leading employer in each of their communities, their ongoing commitment is to foster a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace, which includes providing fair and socially just wages and benefits for their team members, along with robust programs and resources designed to promote wellness.
The increase will impact nearly 3,000 team members across Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin, or about 7% of SSM Health’s total workforce of nearly 40,000 employees.
SSM Health notes they are continuously seeking ways to better meet the needs of its workforce by providing many programs and resources designed to support employees’ overall health and well-being. They include wellness programs, discounted health insurance, access to an employee relief fund, tuition reimbursements, continuing education, and life management services such as personal counseling, healthy lifestyle coaching, legal consultation and financial planning.
