The Salem Soccer Association had a busy weekend.

Salem’s 1st/2nd grade team hosted Germantown on Saturday. Grayson Purintun scored for Salem. Stevie Nix, Hadley Michel and Aspen Morris had some close chances at scoring. Kaysen Findley and Ethan Petrillo played well in net.

The 3rd/4th grade girl’s traveled to Bartelso on Saturday. They stay undefeated with a 10-0 win. Alyx Pearce and Addyson Nix scored two goals each. Gianna Lowder, Sophia Decker, Gabby Gaston, Madison Sauter, Alei Dietz and Kinsley Gansauer all scored one goal. Gaston and Lowder each played one half in goal.

The 5th/6th grade girl’s team stayed undefeated in league play as well. The beat O’Fallon 9-0 at FCC Fields on Saturday. Addy Douglas had a hat trick and Kourtney Garrison scored twice. Shelby Johnson, Sarah Hosie, Amiah Farley and Emily Guzman added one goal each. Talya Gowler and Kara Crain kept the clean sheet.

The 5th/6th grade boy’s team split their games this weekend. On Saturday, they beat O’Fallon 1-0 in a close game. Kourtney Garrison scored the only goal of the game. John Hahs and Tayla Gowler did great in net, holding O’Fallon to no goals. On Sunday, they traveled to Breese. They dropped the game 2-5. Goals came from Noah Gaston and Liam Morris. Gaston and Gabriel Thomason shared time in net.

The 7th/8th grade team traveled to Carlyle on Sunday. They were able to stay undefeated in league play with a 9-0 victory. Caleb Purintun scored a hat trick. Kenzie Coffey, Blayden McCloskey, Austin Woolridge, Nate Lowry and Alex Spencer each scored. Assist were handed out by Robby Shober (3), Nate Lowry, Holden Richardson, Isaiah Findley and Kyle Keys. Keys and McCloskey were in net.
