In middle school softball, Raccoon lost a close one to Field 4-3. Bria Murray went 6 innings giving up 4 hits with 11 strikeouts. She also tripled at the plate. Kaylee Bowdler went 2-3 hitting her first over the fence home run and Maya Braddy added a triple.
The Sandoval Jr. Lady Hawks defeated Odin 6-1 on Monday night. Birthday girl Harlie Harper set the stage by going 3-3 including a homerun and scoring 4 runs. Peyton Jett picked up the win going 6 innings and striking out 15. 8th graders Sierra Ford, Kylee Smith, Sierra Barthelemy,Brooklyn Ray, Harlie Harper, and Petyon Jett were recognized before the game. Sandoval is 4-4 and plays Selmaville tonight in regional play at Salem Little League Complex @ 4:30.
